Feel at home at living room concept The Villy

In the midst of the fast-paced and bustling city life, The Villy exists: an oasis of calm where you can meet, work, and eat. Naturally, while enjoying a fresh cup of coffee, a fruity smoothie, or a nice glass of wine. The living room concept allows you to experience a village feel right in the middle of the city. You'll find The Villy in Amsterdam-West, and a new branch will soon open in the new-build complex The Roofs in The Hague.

Jan-Willem van der Aa is co-responsible for the concept: “The Villy Den Haag will be located in the base of the second residential tower in The Roofs. The new development is located 500 metres from Den Haag Centraal, making it very central. The Villy is for everyone. Our main target group consists of the residents of The Roofs and other local residents. For them, we will soon be the living room where they can always go. A nice community where you feel at home.”

A village feel in the middle of the city

The Villy is the perfect place to grab a quick coffee to go or to ease into the day with a leisurely breakfast. You can also pop in for a delicious lunch, a good glass of wine, or simply to hang out and work. Jan-Willem: “The Villy is an all-day concept where you're welcome at any time of day. You can stop by on your way home to pick up a nutritious meal, have a chat with your neighbour, or linger after work. When you step into our living room, you get a village feel right in the middle of the busy city.”

Extra living comfort

The Villy would like to meet all new residents of The Roofs in person. Therefore, they have received vouchers for a free cup of coffee with a slice of homemade banana bread. The living room will soon offer services that enhance the living pleasure in The Roofs. For example, having a bite to eat with your neighbours, but also taking care of things if you're busy. Letting off steam, your daily cup of coffee, a healthy meal: The Villy takes good care of you.

What's unique about this project is that every resident has a QR code on the inside of their kitchen cupboard. This allows residents to order food, which The Villy will then deliver to their doorstep at an agreed time. Handy!

Everyone is welcome at The Villy

The Villy is initially aimed at the residents of The Roofs, but everyone is welcome. The menu is diverse. There's always something on it to suit your lifestyle. “That's precisely the strength of The Villy,” explains Jan-Willem. “We have a basic menu, but we also like to be inspired by our surroundings. We are the living room where locals feel at home, and what that looks like differs in every city. Hague residents might have different preferences than Amsterdam residents, and we completely embrace that at The Villy. Local residents are truly part of the identity of our living room.”
