The Good Landlordship Act is embraced by vb&t as a guide in our service provision. We are committed to making the rental process as fair and transparent as possible for our (future) tenants.  

A well-informed tenant 

At vb&t, we believe it's important that tenants know their rights. This is because it's only valuable to us that the tenant remains a satisfied customer even after signing a rental agreement. We like to keep them informed of all relevant developments in the rental market, so they know where they stand when renting a property from vb&t.  

Open and honest about our offerings and processes 

Transparency plays a crucial role in the Good Landlordship Act. Tenants have the right to clear and fair information about matters such as the rent, the terms of the tenancy agreement, and any additional costs. 

The measures we take to comply with the Good Landlordship Act. 

  • A transparent explanation of how the rental process works and how selection criteria are applied via www.vbtverhuurmakelaars.nl; 
  • Tenancy agreements are only entered into in writing.; 
  • When allocated, a maximum security deposit, if applicable, of two months' basic rent will be applied; 
  • Employees refrain from discrimination and harassment and are committed to a transparent way of working. We frequently focus on combating discrimination. We have made it part of our onboarding programme and all our employees sign the VGM NL code of conduct.; 
  • We do not charge double commission fees. vb&t is only paid by the client, in this case the investor. (Tenant) Tenants do not pay any registration fees, agency fees, or any other form of costs when entering into a rental agreement through vb&t; 
  • vb&t employees do not enter properties without the tenant's permission, except in the case of statutory exception rounds.; 
  • Implementing the measures in the municipal rental permit, as far as applicable; 

The measures being developed to ensure a clearer rental process.  

  • Providing additional information when signing the rental agreement, including the Good Landlordship reporting point of the municipality concerned. This will also include information on rental legislation and the different types of rental agreements. This will be ready by 01-07-2024 at the latest.
